Yes and No. Casks of premium whiskey can give their owners an excellent ROI. Many different factors can influence this. We expect all our cask owners to make a return on their whiskey investment as their whiskey ages and develops an even more complex flavour profile. However, we do not sell casks as a “Get-Rich-Quick investment scheme.” We encourage individuals and corporates to buy casks for personal enjoyment, to own and possibly share something truly special and unique or mark a milestone in life or in business

Yes, you own the cask and the whiskey inside the cask.
What Guarantees do I Have that This is a Powerscourt Distillery Cask?
Founder Kevin McParland was Cask Estate Director at Powerscourt Distillery for 7 years and personally knows the provenance of this award-winning whiskey extremely well. Each cask also comes with the cask stock certificate issued by Powerscourt Distillery
Is This New Make Spirit or Matured Irish Whiskey?
We offer premium aged Irish Whiskey. These casks were filled by the distillery with their premium quality Single Malt or Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys 3-7 years ago. The liquid has been carefully aging in first-fill ex-bourbon casks for between 3 and 7 years. It is now Premium Matured Irish Whiskey
Where Will My Cask Be Held?
Your cask will be held in a Government-Bonded warehouse where duty is suspended. The warehouse is located in Co.Carlow.
Will You Bottle my Whiskey for me?
Yes. One of the more challenging aspects of owning a cask of whiskey is adhering to the government criteria on labelling and using the proper supplychain when bottling. We have extensive experience in bottling casks of whiskey and we can look after the entire process for you providing you with your own personalised bottles of Fercullen premium Irish Whiskey.
Can I Buy a Cask With Friends or Family?
Yes, we regularly cater for syndicates of 2-4+ people who purchase a cask together or for companies who buy a cask for clients or to celebrate a landmark in the company’s history.
How Many Bottles of Whiskey Will my Cask Produce?
It depends on the age of the whiskey when disgorging for bottling. As a natural part of the maturation process, a little of the liquid evaporates each year. This is known as “The Angel’s Share.”
Older, more complex casks whiskey have slightly less whiskey remaining, but an 8 year old whiskey bottled at 46% ABV would yield around 325 bottles.
Can I Sell my Cask to Someone Else?
Yes. It is your cask and you can sell the cask onto a new owner. Just contact us to let us know the new owner’s name and details. We need the new owners details in order to transfer ownership.
Can I Mature my Whiskey until it is 10 or 15 years old?
Yes. All our casks come with at least 24 additional months maturation included in the cost. If you wish to mature your whiskey to a an older age statement. You can pay for additional storage and insurance once your storage is running out.
